Laura Asbell, PhDLaura Asbell, PhD, provides a powerful, transformational approach to the problems faced by individuals, relationships, and organizations. Application of her postmodern model can lead to a richer, more sophisticated level of thought and behavior—effecting real change in ease and well-being.

Dr Asbell is active in the professional community. She is past president of the Washington State Psychological Association and continues to be active in this organization. Currently she is Chair of the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee. She also is a member of the Consulting Professionals Network, the American Psychological Association, the Idaho Psychological Association, and the Society of Consulting Psychology.

She is a Clinical Associate with the University of Washington School of Medicine, and she is currently collaborating on a research project on leadership with the Intercollegiate College of Nursing, Eastern State Hospital, and Gonzaga University.

Dr Asbell is involved locally with business groups such as the Inland Northwest Business Alliance and the Inland Northwest chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Dr Asbell frequently speaks on a variety of clinical and organizational topics. Most recently she spoke for Leadership Connections, an event sponsored by Gonzaga University, Leadership Spokane, and Whitworth College, on Bullies at Work—A Growing Problem. A recent professional presentation for the Washington State Psychological Association’s Fall Convention addressed Leadership—Research, Theory, and Practice.

Dr Asbell has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University and interned through the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is licensed to practice as a psychologist in the states of Washington, License 1310, and Idaho, License PSY-279.

Nathan Henry, PsyDNathan Henry, PsyD, works to facilitate health, healing, and wholeness in others. Dr. Henry values flexibility in integrating different theoretical frameworks and modalities to most effectively address individual client needs.

Dr. Henry has a range of experience working with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings. His practice consists mainly of providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to adults and adolescents. Special areas of emphasis include Interpersonal Psychotherapy for treatment of depression; treatment of anxiety and stress-related problems; spiritual and/or religious issues in psychotherapy; family and relationship issues; grief and loss; trauma recovery; personality assessment; cognitive/intellectual assessment; and forensic mental health assessment.

Dr. Henry is currently employed at Eastern State Hospital's Forensic Services Unit. His primary duty is to conduct psychological evaluations, pursuant to RCW 10.77, for the courts of Eastern Washington. In addition, Dr. Henry conducts Forensic Mental Health Evaluations as part of his private practice.

Dr. Henry has a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University. He is licensed to practice as a psychologist in the state of Washington (License # PY3467).

Wendy Biondi, MA.Wendy Biondi, LMHC, offers individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults as well as counseling for traditional and nontraditional families and couples. Her therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of strength-based techniques to facilitate self-awareness and promote personal healing, growth and transformation.

Ms. Biondi has extensive experience in treating and assisting individuals struggling with depression; anxiety and panic; unresolved trauma; low self-esteem; specific women's and men's issues; grief and loss; relationship/emotional intimacy struggles; life transitions such as divorce, mid-life issues, and career changes; blended family friction; parent/child conflict; work related stress and burnout; anger and other behavioral challenges; and co-occurring disorders.

The foundation of her approach is the belief that thoughts and feelings create reactive behavior that play a primary role in the repeated difficulties that individual's experience. Coupled with this belief is the heart of her therapy which is to listen, understand and provide support in a genuinely honest, warm, and compassionate way. This unique balance helps to develop a person's insight into their life situation, increase motivation toward change, and empower an inner sense of self.

Ms. Biondi will collaborate with her clients to develop an individualized plan for life changes which will include a wide array of problem-solving strategies and skill building techniques. Every client will have the right, and will be encouraged, to be directly involved in every phase of their counseling experience.

Ms. Biondi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor [License #LH00009595] as well as a Registered Art Therapist. She has been awarded a Master's Degree from Marylhurst University of Oregon, in Counseling and Art Therapy and two Bachelor's Degrees from Eastern Washington University, in Applied Psychology and Studio Art. Ms. Biondi's post graduate work has been in mental health counseling and crisis response services for all ages, populations, and disorders.
